Acupressure Therapy
History
Tui Na (推拿), sometimes described as a form of therapeutic acupressure, is a Traditional Chinese Medicine modality with origins traced through centuries of Chinese medical practice. The term Tui Na translates to “push” (Tui) and “grasp” (Na), reflecting the manual techniques used within this therapeutic approach.
Practitioners apply a variety of rhythmic pressure and manipulation techniques along the body’s meridians to support circulation, mobility, and overall balance. Many of these methods developed alongside broader Chinese bodywork traditions.
